Hello,

I’m the Managing Director of the newly formed "Vacation Wales Ltd", Tour and Leisure Company, specially formed to open up Wales to the visitor.

Having worked as a Train Conductor and Manager for fifteen years between South Wales and London, I was becoming more and more disheartened when speaking to visitors about My country. A lot of you had ancestors from Wales, and many knew the names of some of our towns or famous people like Owain Glyndwr, the poet Dylan Thomas and recently Catherine Zeta Jones, Tom Jones and Richard Burton.

So after nearly four years of research and planning, Vacation Wales was conceived, this has meant travelling the length and breadth of this fair land making substantial lists of sights and attractions, linking them with routes and Hotels and making sure that the food in those Hotels was of a high standard reflecting wherever possible a Welsh culinary theme: All of this marketed in a value for money package.

I believe that the main tour of around 700 miles in the week shows you the geography, industry and history of the Welsh people, but above all, their unique charisma, friendliness and warmth. The coaches we use are very comfortable and with air conditioning. The Hotels are of good quality but still keep that ambiance of "Welshness" about them.

Vacation Wales operates a weekly tour on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis with all admission charges to attractions included in the price, lunch is not included although refreshments are present at most venues.
